Modern miracle workers...careful...

I figured I would post this here also, since this has to do with signs, wonders and miracles done today in the name of the Holy Spirit:

I visited a charismatic church this past sunday. I don't have too much problem with charismatic things, but the visiting speaker said some things to make me turn my ears off and wait for the service to end. He also seemed quite judgemental of other Christians and was manipulative on the audience. The speaker claimed the Holy Spirit told him to punch a cancer victim in order to heal her. Yes, that is right...punch her. And he did. I was saddened how many people shouted halelujah and laughed. This speaker's name is Guy Peh. Somebody else who is part of the hit and heal fad is Todd Bentley. These two I know of. This behavior to me is a total disgrace and it is no surprise many people opt out of Christianity for something else. Mr. Peh and Bentley are part of the no-name movement. Peh and his wife do the ministering. People fell over, some appeared injured or unable to get up without help. Then there was a little sermon and prayer about money and then the bucket is passed around to collect money. The Bible says "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Does the Holy Spirit contradict what is already written in the Bible about healing? No. Is it recorded that Jesus or the Apostles beat on people to heal? No. So this spirit that says to hit somebody for healing...is it a spirit of light and according to the Bible? I don't think so. Please be on the lookout for wolves in sheep clothing. Read your Bible and know what is real or not.
