Romans Chapter 10

Praying scripture is praying in God's will...

Romans Chapter 10

Postby Soapbox on Wed Feb 06, 2008 9:52 am

In Romans Chapter 10, the Apostle Paul is talking about the Israelites and it occurred to me if we substitute the words Apostolic or Laestadian Lutheran for Israelite it fits very well.

"Brothers (and sisters), my hearts desire and prayer to God for The Aposolic and Laestadian Lutherans is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.
Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. Christ is the end of the law so so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes."

If those of use who know the bondage our people are in could remember to pray for their redemption--for their release into the freedom of knowing Jesus as LORD, I believe many would be brought out. I have a friend who says "When the saints get on their knees, the demons tremble," and you and I dear friends have the opportunity to do just that. Let us not be weary but continue in prayer for the oppressed and the lost. And as we wait, and watch we will be witness to the mighty hand of God at work.
