Many of you experienced being shunned at the time you left the church. For me, 10 years out from that time, I am experiencing what it is to lose a very significant relationship. She was my best friend for over 30 years...

At the time I left the church, she was not so under the influence of church teaching that it affected our relationship. She has now married into the church and has been swallowed up by the socializing that seems to be so necessary there.

I grieve the loss, but even more I grieve for her. Did she never truly understand the gospel? If you are reading this, please take a moment to pray for that God would show her the truth and lead her out into the light of His truth.
